About Shills & Haters

Shills & Haters is a movie-review aggregator with a twist. For each film, it collects the videos that movie YouTubers have published and sorts them into two camps — the Shills (creators making the case for the movie) and the Haters (creators arguing against it) — newest first, so you can see the whole conversation around a release at a glance.

Then it adds the part most review round-ups leave out: the box-office verdict. Once a film's numbers come in, each collection shows whether it was a hit or a flop — and therefore which camp called it right.

How it works

• Videos come from the YouTube Data API, matched to each film.
• Box-office and release data come from Wikidata.
• Stance (pro / against / neutral) is classified automatically per video — based on that specific video's title and description. We never label a creator as "a shill" or "a hater"; the same channel can appear in either column depending on the film.
• New releases are discovered and refreshed automatically on a schedule.

A few honest caveats

Stance classification is automated and approximate. Box-office verdicts use a rough break-even heuristic and can lag or miss streaming/awards context. This site is not affiliated with YouTube, Google, or any of the creators featured; it links to publicly available videos hosted on YouTube.
